European commission has awarded Diploma Supplement labels to twelve higher education institutions in Finland. The DS labels are awarded as honorary distinctions to institutions which have shown that they provide the Diploma Supplements to students in a correct way, and they are valid for four years.
Diploma Supplement labels are given to higher education institutions which have shown excellence in applying the European instrument that makes teaching and learning more transparent and facilitates the recognition of studies and qualifications. The awarded institutions have given proof that their Diploma Supplement models comply with the standard Diploma Supplement model, all students of the applicant institution receive a copy of the Diploma Supplement automatically and free of charge upon graduation, and that the Diploma Supplement is issued in a widely spoken European language and, if so wished, in another language.
